What actually changed
A 2020 trip already looked unusual — limited capacity, no parades, distanced queues — so the useful comparison is not what reopened but what never came back and what was built after.
The headline additions arrived in the years right after, and the paid queue system has now been rewritten twice, which means advice written even a couple of years ago is already out of date.
